About Paul Ashby

Paul Ashby is a golf coach and a new addition to the staff team at Elite Golf Academies, based at Riverside in Nottingham and Swadlincote, Derbyshire. With over 40 years of experience playing golf at an elite level, Paul has played County golf and reached the British Open Final Qualifying stage. He has also represented the British Army and won the Army Golf Championship. Paul turned professional off a handicap of plus 3 and has recently played in PGA events and the Senior Masters Tour.

Coaching Philosophy

Paul’s coaching philosophy is to guide and support golfers on their journey to achieving the skills and confidence required to play golf. He believes in mastering the fundamentals of golf in a simple, fun, and informative way. Paul's approach is to make specific, individualized adjustments that minimize disruption to a player's natural style.
