Steve have been a Golf Professional for 28 years after turning professional at the age of 16. Having working with Professionals, England Elite players, County players and amateurs on their golf swing he has great experience and knowledge at all levels. Steve has worked with European Tour players for the last 14 years and throughout that time has had the pleasure of working with the best technology and tour coaches in the world - this exposure to thought leaders and the cutting edge has undoubtedly enabled him to grow in knowledge and experience as a coach. Steve has a huge passion for improving all golfers performance and believes in using the technology available at the academy to prove that any recommended improvements are correct.

Heather MacRae

P.G.A Professional & Ladies European Tour

Heather started playing golf at 10 years old with her father and brother at Callander Golf Club. At 15 years old Heather got her first cap for Scotland at under 16 level. Having moved to represent Dunblane New Golf Club, Heather went on to represent Scotland at every level : U18, U21 and ladies in almost every major amateur team event in Europe.

Winning the Scottish Girls Championship at Glenbervie Golf Club in 2001, Heather accepted a golf scholarship at college then University in the United States for five years. In 2005 Heather was capped for the Great Britain & Ireland team to play Europe in the Vagliano Trophy where she was on the winning team. A month later Heather reached the pinnacle of her amateur career when she won the British Ladies Strokeplay Championship at Nairn Golf Club.

Achieving a handicap of +4 Heather turned professional in September 2007 at the Scottish Ladies Open, a European Tour event held at The Carrick on Loch Lomond.

Since January 2008 until August 2011 Heather was in the PGA trainee programme and is now a fully qualified PGA member. With a good backing of the PGA training programme Heather now wants to fulfil her dreams of becoming one of the top female golfers in the world. In 2012 Heather will play the full LET Access Series schedule, selected PGA events and some LET events with the aim of earning full playing rights on the LET from 2013 onwards.

Mark Trow

P.G.A Professional

Since joining Kings Hill GC in 2012 Mark has developed a large client base, making him one of the busiest coaches in the South East. Mark currently works with all standards of player to ensure that they develop an understanding and an improvement in all areas of their game. Mark combines in depth technical knowledge with simple communication skills to ensure each player is able to relate, repeat and develop as a player; be it a beginner or professional.

Mark is able to draw on his playing career, which involved him playing across the world to work with various elite players and ensure that they develop not only technical but psychologically. Allowing them to optimise their performance through better preparation and readiness.

Each lesson is delivered with the help of V1 video technology helping to realise actions and change them into realistic movements that can be repeated on the golf course. Players leave every lesson with a clear pathway of how they will release the goals set out at the start of each session. Swing analysis and practise procedures are then sent to each player which helps reinforce the previous lesson and ensures progression before the next session.

Mark heads up the development programme at Kings Hill which has produced national and European winners over the past 3 years. The academy provides a pathway to excellence via structured coaching sessions with player development and on course experience setting it apart from the rest.

Ethan Shaw

EGTF Professional

Our EGTF Professional, Ethan Shaw is available to provide instructions and tips to players of all levels and ages, with special golf lessons available for children. Ethan strives to help people enjoy the game by improving both their technique and their mentality. Ethan started playing golf at the age of 13 and by the time he was 16 he was helping the professional at Marsden Golf Club, Huddersfield, to give junior lessons. With a passion for golf and a handicap of 5, Ethan decided that he wanted to teach golf for a living, and after finding it difficult to find employment as an assistant, he moved to Alvor, Portugal in 2013 to pursue his dream. Now Ethan is a fully qualified teaching professional and brings his passion for golf to Espiche.

Sian Evans

P.G.A Professional

Sian joined Kings Hill in 2014 after successful amateur and university careers. She gained an interest for the game of golf at an early age and since then she has furthered her knowledge and skills whilst competing at a high level. This has included being a member of various England squads from the age of 12 all the way to age 18, representing the country in numerous tournaments and matches. In 2009, she fulfilled her dreams of playing collegiate golf in America by accepting a full scholarship to East Tennessee State University. Sian turned professional in 2014 after graduating with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

Chris Pearson

P.G.A Professional

Chris started working at Kings Hill Golf Club in 2012. Now a fully qualified PGA Professional, Chris’ main interest and biggest passion is to help others play better golf. He does this by drawing on his own experiences and listening to the player’s goals and together forming a path to help them achieve success. His patient demeanour and attention to detail makes his lessons simple and effective.

Chris started his career by playing county and club matches as a junior. From this, realising that he has a love for the game made it easy to decide he wanted a career in the golf industry.

Chris also enjoys the playing aspect of his career. Chris often plays in PGA south region events as well as charity pro-ams.
